The Planning Process
Everything begins with a good brainstorm. At least a month ahead of time, we gather our thoughts, sketching out concepts and ideas that we’re excited to explore. These potential video topics are meticulously jotted down in a shared Google Sheet, helping us stay organized and focused on what comes next.
Preparation Phase
Fast forward to a week before shoot day, and it’s time to transform our brainstorms into action plans. We craft detailed notes from our initial ideas, ensuring everything’s ready for when the camera starts rolling.
Shoot Day Fun
Shoot day is a bustling, collaborative effort. Maddie arrives, filled with enthusiasm and ready to share her knowledge. Katie orchestrates the technical setup, adjusting lights, cameras, and microphones to perfection. And, of course, Maddie’s dad Jack often lends a “helping hand”—aka sampling tequila 🍹.
We’re equipped with three main sets, supplemented by the occasional cozy couch or refreshing outdoor backdrop. Thanks to our streamlined process, we shoot about 10 videos in a swift two-hour session!
Post-Production Magic
Once the filming is complete, I dive into editing to fine-tune the content, ensuring our videos pop with clarity and creativity. Maddie then adds her touch with enticing cover images, getting them ready for launch across all platforms: Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
