Xoloitzcuintle Reposado Review

Is this tequila hard to say but easy to drink? Xoloitzcuintle.

Xoloitzcuintle reposado. It's a breed of a Mexican hairless dog. You know that movie Coco? Yeah, yeah. The dog in that movie, that's this kind of a breed. All of their expressions are in 1 liter. Stick, this is 46% ABV.

So, you're getting high strength and a liter for $75. So, not super strong. No. Get a little, a little raw agave on it for sure. Uh huh. And then a little bit of like a baking spice cinnamon kind of a thing. Yeah, I agree. Hmm. Nice. You can taste the 46% for sure. Yeah, a little hot. A little hot, but not overpowering.

No. And this is not a super caramelly butterscotchy style. This is very agave forward, which I like quite a bit. This is my style of reposado. I don't love the finish, though. Yeah, I don't either. Certainly, not my favorite reposado. It's a little hot, which I understand because it's a little bit higher in alcohol.

Very much recommend this, especially given that you get a liter for high-end cocktails. I think it'd be a really good choice for a ranch water and maybe even for a Paloma with a little bit more kick to it. I'm going to give it an 8. Okay. I'm going to give it a 6.5, like maybe could be a 7. I would definitely put it in a margarita, probably wouldn't sip it on its own.
